Tucson’s 4th Ave Street Fair: A Photostory

4th Ave Street Fair

My first photo story! Ok so I love to incorporate a TON of photos in my posts as sometimes I feel photos are the only way to really convey the reality and beauty of a place. I only got to spend a day in Tucson and wish I could have had many more. This city was so unique, like nowhere I had ever been. It has an unexpected edge and a serious personality. We were lucky enough to be there during the huge 4th Ave Street fair, which is incredible. We spent the day wandering around 4th Ave, having some drinks, talking to people and taking some photos. I felt like I got to see a side of this city and its culture that was really cool and definitely needed to be shared. I think these photos do just that.

The 4th Ave Street Fair happens twice a year and attracts over half a million people from around the world. As a lover of street festivals, I found this one particularly impressive. It has been running for 48 years, showcases over 300 international artisans and stretches for blocks and blocks. There are of course entertainment stages and plenty of food vendors, plus local beer for sale and admission is free. It really is a blast. I hope these photos spark your curiosity and make you want to visit Tucson/ check out the fair. Enjoy!

We popped into a few spots along the way. We checked out Che’s Lounge for some awesome margaritas, Boca Tacos y Tequila for some awesome tacos and cool creations, and the Hut to hang on the patio. This is a city worth exploring and I can’t wait to go back.
